On the optical measurement of microparticle charge using quantum dots

چکیده

Abstract We investigated the possibility of using a layer quantum dots (QDs) deposited on microparticle surface for measurement charge acquires when immersed into plasma. To that end, we performed calculations Stark shift photoluminescence spectrum QDs caused by fluctuating local electric field. In our calculations, assumed plasma-delivered surplus electrons to be distributed microparticle. According will acquire measurable values lifetime quasi-stationary configuration determined their diffusion along surface. Experiments with flat QD-covered floating plasma-facing surfaces suggest can achieved. Based model, modern microscopic plasma-surface interaction theories and analysis experiments, possible design microsensor, which allow measure accumulated its means visible-light optics.
